Youth center on the eastern side of the Štepanjsko naselje – the peninsula surrounded by the river Ljubljanica. There is a lot of sports infrastructure in the surrounding area, which our youth center complements with a place for young people to spend quality free time and invites them to co-create the program and activities in Štepanjsko naselje.
The young dragons of Golovec found their nest in the new building of the district center of Golovec. As a newly created youth center that opened its doors on September 19, 2023, we offer young people bright and airy spaces: a club room with tribune and a big screen, a spacious kitchen, a room for quiet socializing, workshops and conversations. A room for VR and thus digitality and applications from various fields also has its place in the youth center. To top it all off, there is also a sunny and spacious terrace for socializing and relaxing exercise.
In Mladi zmaji Golovec, young people from the Štepanjsko naselje can spend their free time in a relaxed way with conversations, board games, chess, table football, various workshops, socializing and the youth center program.
Our aim is to connect communities and promote intergenerational cooperation, encourage holistic health through sports and body mind activities, and tools for strengthening mental health. We also offer workshops to encourage creativity, DIY and upcycling, and offer photography and movie contents. We are happy for the young people to visit, take a tea together and talk.

In Youth center Golovec, there is a VR room available for young people, intended for playing high-quality VR games and independent use of VR technology for research and creative purposes. VR. Since VR will also be part of the Ljubljana Youth Center, Mladi zmaji is working intensively on acquiring knowledge of the use of VR technology. This will be later crucial in guiding young people to use it independently and, above all, introducing new methodologies into youth work.
In collaboration with VR experts, we equipped the room with the latest equipment and provided a package of quality games for young people, such as Tilt Brush, Kayak VR: Mirage, Titans of Space PLUS, Acron: Attack of the Squirrels!, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Zenith MMO, StressOut, Until You Fall, Beat Saber, and for those over 18, Half-Life: Alyx. Games enable the development of creativity, the development of skills, learning about the world, as well as entertainment and relaxation for different tastes.
