What's what?
Take a quick look at some basic information about individual options.
Youth exchanges
A fantastic opportunity to meet young people from other countries with whom you spend 5 to 21 days together and address the topics chosen for each exchange through various activities. There are more opportunities for inclusion: you can go on a youth exchange abroad with a group of young people, or you can organise a youth exchange in Slovenia with the Young Dragons and invite young people from other countries. Young people between the ages of 13 and 30 can participate.
Youth Engagement Activities
Learn about the participation of young people in civil society by organising projects that address at least one of the 11 European Youth Goals. Activities can be local, national, or transnational. Workshops, debates, consultations, awareness campaigns, training, meetings, online interactions between young people and political decision-makers, and so on can be organised. The duration of the activity can range from 3 to 24 months for participants aged 13 to 30.
Volunteering projects
We can discuss individual or group volunteer opportunities. Individual activities involve young people travelling to a selected organisation abroad that has expressed a desire to involve an international volunteer in their work. In the case of group activities, you will be working with young volunteers from various countries. Opportunities for projects are published on the European Youth Portal, and the Young Dragons in the projects act as a sending organisation – before leaving, we provide all necessary information, and we provide support during and after the project’s completion. The duration of the activity is determined by the type of project; young people aged 18 to 30 are welcome to participate.
Solidarity projects
Young people can make a positive difference in their community by participating in solidarity projects that raise public awareness of specific problems or challenges. With projects, you can create new solutions and approaches to problems that you or your environment may be facing. Within these projects, young people decide on project management processes, lead activities, and adhere to set goals, while Young Dragons handle project application and administrative support. Projects can last between 2 and 12 months, and the project group must include at least 5 young people between the ages of 18 and 30 who are legally residing in Slovenia.
