A new central youth centre is being built in the centre of Ljubljana. The Ljubljana Youth Centre includes all levels of youth activity – socialising, networking, cooperation, creativity, and engagement. The vision of the new Youth Centre is based on the participatory practice of involving young people in the processes of action – participation, co-creation, co-design, and co-decision.
An ecosystem that connects young people and the city at all organisational levels through ambitious ideas. We turn young people’s ideas into projects and assist them in becoming a reality. The programme includes workshops, mentoring, and financial support for selected Ljubljana youth projects. The programme is intended to assist young people in charting their path to life and professional experience, which contributes to a higher quality of life in the city.
A mobile youth centre made out of an old city bus with the number 132. Through art and culture, the mobile youth centre in Ljubljana brings together neighbours and neighbourhoods. A warm and welcoming space with a distinctive and sturdy exterior and a pleasant and welcoming interior. A spot where you are free to be who you are without having to make any purchases.
The community centre in Kašelj was built out of an old city bus. It is now a place for finding creative solutions to time and space challenges. Borc’s name was chosen in collaboration with the residents of its neighbourhood. It is located on Cesta španskih borcev. Prior to becoming Borc, bus number 401 was one of 17 inactive buses waiting to be decommissioned.
Independent Internet medium and media space for young people. Radio Eter is a learning medium that operates on the principle of “For young people, by young people”. The programme is put together by a group of young journalists, as well as experts in society, politics, culture, and music. It currently operates on the central platform www.radioeter.net, where a music player and a wide range of radio broadcasts and reviews are available 24/7.
