A Young Dragons special unit that works with street youth. It organises workshops, events, and other activities for children and young people in various locations throughout Ljubljana and its surroundings.
We also carry out our Young Dragons mission outside, in open spaces around Ljubljana. We have a special field unit called the Street Dragons that works with young people on the streets.
Street dragons conduct their operations at locations in the neighbourhood communities of Posavje, Golovec, Šmarna gora, and Vič, as well as in Celovški dvori. Here, we interact with young people between the ages of 10 and 29 and host workshops and events in addition to gathering ideas and promoting the Young Dragons programmes and spaces. As part of the team’s commitment to presenting and inviting us to co-create the Young Dragons programme, we are also present at district community events.
We will make sure the Street Dragons team is further developed and expertly trained to carry out youth street work in the future. A head of youth programmes who regularly works in the area of youth street work has been in charge of running the programme since 2019.
