Mladi zmaji, in co-organization with the National Agency MOVIT and with the support of Zavarovalnica Sava, are preparing the seventh edition of the conference Mladost (je) ni norost – It takes a forest to grow a mushroom.
For the first time, the event will take place as an international conference, running from 26 to 28 November 2025, bringing together youth workers, volunteers, students, and professionals from across Europe to explore how we can support each other in the work we love.
The SALTO call for participation in the first two days of the conference has already been closed, and the selection of the first 50 participants has been made. We are now opening applications for participation in the 3rd day of the conference, which will take place in its traditional format. All details can be found in the application form below.
The 3rd day of the conference will take place at the Congress Centre of Hotel Thermana Laško (Zdraviliška cesta 6, 3270 Laško) on Friday, 28 November 2025.
This year’s theme focuses on support systems for youth workers, with sessions dedicated to three key areas:
Self-care & self-support – how to look after yourself while helping others
Organisational support – building systems that protect and strengthen staff
Community as a resource – creating strong local networks and collaborations
The conference will be held entirely in English, with the exception of one workshop delivered in Slovenian.
